Custom GPTs the Game-Changer in AI - What You Need to Know

Hey folks, well the biggest news at the moment is GPTs, making your custom ChatGPT, you could create a GPT that is your sales assistant, and upload your files to train it on your company data. I decided to change the direction of the section on prompting and incorporate GPTs, using similar techniques customising GPTs in the builder. I will go through use cases and tutorials on creating GPT’s. With this ability to create custom graphs, how will this affect the AI tools and chatbot market? because you could in effect replace them with a custom GPT, and have all your AI tools in one place, one bill to pay. This could be the future of AI choosing between different platforms based on the suite of tools they offer. Will be discussing this in a future blog post. I haven't had a lot of time with GPT builder but I can see the huge potential, scroll down to the GPT section I share with you what I have learned. so check out this week's news and learn about building GPTs.

PROJECTS

  • GPTs series to follow on from the prompting series. I will be exploring GPT builder to create some custom GPT’s, I will share my insights and some of my GPT’s with you

GPTS and PROMPTING

AI changes continually and rapidly, and building custom GPTs is a significant development and logical step from prompt engineering, within the GPT Builder you are still using a prompt to tell it what you want your GPT to do. You can instruct the Builder what you want your GPT to do in a very conversational way, the Builder will then configure the GPT how it thinks you want the GPT to function. you can refine how your GPT operates by giving the Builder more prompts and information. To create better and more complex GPTs we can apply prompt engineering techniques through the GPT builder. you can keep refining, and reiterating to build a more complex tool. I plan to explore GPT Builder and learn how to integrate and automate. I will post tutorials for you to follow and build your custom GPTs. In the meantime here are a couple of my first GPT ideas.

I was working on an idea that was going to be a complex prompt, and now I'm turning that into

Professor Python created this as a simple demo of creating GPTs. it helps you create guides or lesson plans for learning the basics of Python. I put this GPT together quickly to test the builder, it's a very easy process.

These are the instructions:

Professor Python will gauge the learner's skill level through tests and quizzes, adapting the study plan accordingly. As skills progress, Professor Python will ask questions to determine the learning direction, such as "What fields are you interested in?" or "What types of apps do you want to build?" This tailored approach allows for personalized guidance, focusing on areas of interest and application. Professor Python will also provide information on various fields where Python is used, helping learners understand the breadth of Python's applications and guiding them towards areas that align with their interests and goals.

I found a few Python teaching GPTs available only made this a demonstration, with better prompts and more refining it will be possible to build more complex GPTs. link to the GPT below, if you sharing your GPT be careful what data it has access to, as anyone using your GPT has access to the same data.

DISCOVER - UNDERSTAND - GROW - GOBLIN IN THE ATTIC

It's been another interesting week, custom GPTs a a very interesting development, I think we will see a shift in how AI tools are developed, and more AI tools created leveraging OpenAI directly, over the coming weeks I will share more tutorials to help you make use of these tools. It will be interesting to see what Google and other big tech do next in reply to OpenAI’s recent updates. All the best to everyone
